In 2016 I was went on a photography drive through a number of different states. On that trip I had my very first visit to Kentucky. I was car camping my way from Pennsylvania down to Texas, and so while I was in Kentucky, I pulled into a parking lot to get some sleep. When I awoke, that lot had filled with cars, and there were folks forming a big line. I knew nothing at all about bourbon at the time, and didn't even know what "Buffalo Trace Distillery" was all about. But, I figured with all those folks in line, there was something I was missing out on. I hopped in that line, and managed to get a spot on a hard hat tour of the distillery with none other than the legendary Freddie Johnson!
